Obituary

Robert P. “Rob” Coyne, 50, of Franklin, died Friday, August 17, 2007 upon arrival at Milford Regional Hospital.

Born in Boston, May 24, 1957, a son of Isabel A. (Dunleavy) Coyne of Franklin and the late Howard W. Coyne, Sr., he was a lifelong Franklin resident.

He was educated in local schools, and was a 1975 graduate of Franklin High School.

Mr. Coyne worked as a carpenter for several area builders and contractors. He enjoyed reading, and was an avid Boston Red Sox, and New England Patriots fan. He was also a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a brother Michael F. Coyne and his companion Susan Patrie of Jacksonville, FL, 4 sisters: Elizabeth A. Bertoni of Franklin, Kathleen F. Varga and her husband Dan of Bellingham, Maureen E. Spencer and her husband Gary of Bellingham, and Monica A. Coyne and her fiancé Kevin Kenny of Hopkinton. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Howard W. Coyne, Jr. and Patrick J. Coyne.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday at 10:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneral.com with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin, at 11:00 AM. Interment is private.

Calling hours are Tuesday 4 – 8 PM.
