Eugene G. Demers, 92, of Manchester, died August 19, 2007, in Concord Hospice House, after a long illness.
He was born in Manchester, January 12, 1915, and was the son of Ernest and Cora (Desfosses) Demers. He was educated in local schools, and worked for General Electric and H.P. Hood in the early years. He retired from Sherwin Williams as a regional sales representative.
He was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.
He was married to Gertrude (Gagnon) Demers, who died in February.
Family members include two sisters, Jeannette L'Heureux, of Hanes City FL. and Rachel St. Cyr, of Manchester; a brother, Andre Demers, of Manchester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends of Gene have many loving memories. He was a kind and gentle person that touched the hearts of many.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday August 23, 2007 in St. Catherine Church, Webster St., Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery where committal prayers were conducted in the Mausoleum Chapel.
