NORTH OXFORD__ Janice M. (Puris) Saucedo, 54, of North Oxford, went to dance and sing with the Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2007
She leaves her husband of five years, Juan Saucedo. She also leaves her parents, Paul and Genevieve Puris of Worcester; step children, Nicole Corona, John-Andrew Saucedo of San Antonio, TX, a grandson Xavier Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Richard Puris and his wife, Diana of Westford; Philip Puris and his wife Gail of Jefferson; a sister, Karen Shearns and her husband Chuck of Auburn; four nieces, Elizabeth and Kristina Puris of Jefferson; and Kayla and Olivia Shearns of Auburn; and numerous close friends. She was born in Worcester, and worked in the Assessor’s Office for the Town of Oxford. She graduated from Marian High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. Janice was a free loving spirit that would capture any room she entered. Her gift of embracing everyone she met was truly God given. God blessed her family and friends with fifty four years of Janice. Janice was involved in many events that benefited Muscular Dystrophy, Easter Seals and the Make a Wish Foundation. She only gave from her heart, so it is the heart that she had, that all will remember. Her family would like to thank Dr. David Shepro and the staffs of Commonwealth Hematology/Oncology Center and 5 South at the U Mass Memorial Medical Center for the great and special care provided to Janice and her family.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 22, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 12:00 NOON in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday August 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Janice’s name to Dana – Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, 6th floor, Brookline MA 02445-726, ATTN: Contribution Services.
