Obituary

Marlene M. (Malone) Murray, age 68, of Weston formerly of Waltham, died suddenly August 18, 2007 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Murray.

Mrs. Murray was born in Waltham and was the daughter of the late John and Rosemarie (Ellery) Malone.

She was a Weston resident since 1968 and was the owner of the Ye Olde Cottage Restaurant in Weston Center from 1967-1999. She was also actively involved in the Fund Raising for POW/MIA organizations.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, David J. Murray and his wife Jennifer of Crofton, MD, Deborah J. Falvey and her husband Michael of Marlboro, Michael P. Murray and his wife Rochelle of Groton and Robert L. Murray and his wife Bridget of Groton; her grandchildren, Brett, Kyle, Michele, Michael, Kevin, Brenna, Brady, Caitlin and Jack and a brother, Randall Osborne. She was the sister of the late James Malone, John “Butch” Malone, Gail Mondene and Kenneth McCrudden. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Julia’s Church, Weston Center, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
