White, Donald Charles, of West Roxbury, MA, Thursday, August 16th, 2007. Donald passed away in Boston, MA after a brief illness at the age of 52 years. Born March 6, 1955 in Boston, Ma where he lived most of his life. In 1972 Donald enlisted to serve his country in the USMC during the Vietnam Era. Donald was recognized for providing food service support to over 4,000 Vietnamese refugees for Operation New Horizon. After receiving Rifle Sharpshooters Badge, National Defense Service Medal, as well as Certificate and Medal of Good Conduct he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1978 in CA. His occupational trade was a union carpenter since 1977. Returning to Boston, MA in 1988, he became a member of Carpenters’ Union Local 40. An Active member of the American Legion and Elks Foundation. He is survived by and forever remembered by daughter, Dawn M. Hickey, grandchildren Kate and Eric Hickey, sisters Carol White, Laura Schull, and Christine Wochna. Visiting hours in The Robert J.
