Obituary

James R. Carleton, 70, of Medford, passed away on August 15th. 2007. He was born in Stoneham on January 2nd, 1937, raised in Everett and has spent the past 35 years raising his own family in Medford. James is a retired Pressman who worked for the Acme Printing Company in Wilmington for over 30 years. He is a member of the Irish American Club in Malden and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Mary C. (Foley) Carleton; his children Sean Carleton and his wife Gretchen of Winthrop, Lynne Carleton of Medford, Monica Carleton of Stoneham and Thomas Carleton and his wife Kathryn of Tewksbury; his grandchildren Abigail, Grace, Emelia, Patrick, Isabelle and Brian. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Carleton of Pittsburgh and his sister Gertrude Vangel of Everett. He was predeceased by his sister Mildred Carleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday August 20th at 9 AM followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 PM.
