Louis E. Cross, 61

Worcester—Louis E. Cross, 61, of Clarkson Street, a former foreman at Nissen’s Bakery, died Thursday, December 12, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—Memorial Campus.

He leaves his wife of 40 years, Ruthann L. (Wykle) Cross; 2 sons, Michael A. Cross and James L. Cross, both of Worcester; 2 daughters, Pamela J. Cross and Linda M. Ferrie, both of Worcester; a sister, Barbara Raimondi of New Jersey; 2 grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. A sister, Lois Field, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Edmund L. and Irene M. (Patenaude) Cross and graduated from South High School. He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963. Mr. Cross was a foreman at Nissen’s Bakery for 35 years. He was an avid reader.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held from 5-8 P.M., on December 13. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6 Strathmore Road, Natick, MA 01760.
