ORLANDO, FL – Victor R. Rondeau, Jr., 60, of Orlando, FL, died Wednesday August 8, 2007 at his home.
Born in Lowell on November 18, 1946, he was the husband of the late Linda C. (Bernier) Rondeau, and a son of the late Victor R. Rondeau Sr. and Loretta (Martineau) Rondeau. He received his education through the Dracut school system and graduated from Dracut High School. He also graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Lowell.
Mr. Rondeau served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was self employed, then later worked for GMAC in Lowell until his retirement.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars of United States, Central Florida Veterans, Inc., Florida Sheriff’s Association, and the AARP. He was also a member and communicant at St. Francis Church in Dracut, where he participated in the variety church shows with his former wife Linda Trouville. Mr. Rondeau was also an auxiliary police officer for the Lowell Police Department for four years.
Mr. Rondeau is survived by three daughters Darlene Rondeau of Dracut, Debra Caverly of Lowell, and Dawn Carbonneau of Lowell; a son Dwayne Rondeau of Lowell; three grandchildren Hailey Peterson, Jacob Carbonneau, and Evan Caverly; two brothers Edward Rondeau and his wife Patricia of Dracut and Dennis Rondeau and his wife Lisa of Florida; a sister Claire Quinton and her husband Russell of South Carolina; and many more family members and friends.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 9 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Department of Veterans Affairs, James A.
