Vincent “Vinny” Guerrera, 83 of Somerville, died Monday after a brief illness in the Winchester Hospital, Winchester, MA.
Born in Italy he lived in Somerville for over 50 years and formerly of Medford. Vincent was the son of the late Theresa (Mamone) and Ernest Guerrera.
Vincent worked at the Cambridge Superior Court for 12 years as a Court Officer and then as a Mechanic and retired in 1990. He also was a late member of the Medford Circle Club.
Beloved husband of the late Ida (Luongo) Guerrera. Devoted father of Patrick Guerrera of Haverhill, Teresa Tardo, Anthony Guerrera both of Sylva, North Carolina, Nick Guerrera of San Gabriel, CA, Nancy Gropper of Woburn, and Ernest Guerrera of Easton. Also survived by 16 loving grandchildren and 4 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Lucky Guerrera of Onset, and Antonio Guerrera of Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
