Julia H. "Nene" (Karcheski) Salo 84, of 16 Tyson Terrace died Wednesday (Dec.11)At UMASS Memorial Medical Center-Belmont St. Campus after an illness.
She leaves three sons, Paul B. Lenkarski of West Boylston, Joseph A. Salo of Worcester and David L. Salo of Princeton, two daughters, Helen McCormick of Worcester and Jean B. Cook of Northboro, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, a nephew. A brother, Walter J. Karcheski of Worcester died in 1974.She was born in Worcester, daughter of Benedict J. and Helena (Karczewski) Karcheski.
She graduated from Commerce High School.
She was a Nannie for several families in Worcester and a Waitress at the Main Street Lunch for several years retiring years ago. She enjoyed Bingo.
A Funeral will be held Saturday (Dec.14) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. (www.faybrothers.com) West Boylston with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Christopher's Church 950 West Boylston St. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday (Dec.13) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
