Mr. Vincent A. Bilotta 66, of Chelmsford, formerly of Medford, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday. He is the beloved husband of Marilyn (Mozzetta) Bilotta with whom he spent nearly 40 years of marriage. Born in Somerville, son of the late Pasquale and Angela (Stagliano) Bilotta he is a graduate of Medford Schools. Following high school he served our country as a member of the National Guard.
A talented automotive mechanic he was employed in many capacities from mechanic to manager in that field. He worked at the former North Ford, Pierce Ford, and Hal Curtis Ford.
In 2002 he went into business for himself and established Custom Vans & RV Service in Chelmsford. An extremely faithful and knowledgeable employee for over 5 years, he will be sadly missed at Home Depot in Tewksbury where he worked as a sales associate.
In his spare time he loved to fish and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was excellent working with his hands at various crafts. In earlier years he was a coach in the Chelmsford Hockey Association. The activity that gave him the most enjoyment, was spending time with his family and grandchildren where he was affectionately known as “Papa B”.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter Denise Quigley of Lowell and her husband John, 2 sons Joseph Bilotta of Taunton and his wife Linda, David Bilotta of Templeton and his wife Nicole. Adored grand “Papa B” of John E. Quigley, Domenic J. Bilotta, Carlin E. Quigley, Jordan Lee Bilotta and Anthony J. Bilotta. Brother of the late Domenic and Paul Bilotta. Cherished brother in law of Rose Bilotta of Everett. Dear friend of John and Diane McLaughlin of Centerville, Ken and Josephine Fitzgerald of Billerica. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford, Tuesday at 8 am followed by a funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Malden at 9 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Vincent’s memory be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN. 38105
