Sheri L. Richards, 50, of Privilege St., Woonsocket, died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of Barbara (McCutcheon) Caya, of Woonsocket, and the late Leo Caya. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Sheri worked as a machinist for the Swiss Line Products Co., in Cumberland, for over 10 years. She also previously worked at Woonsocket City Hall for several years.
Sheri enjoyed going to the beach, bowling, and playing darts. She was devoted to her family.
In addition to her mother, Sheri is survived by her companion, Mark Turcotte, of Woonsocket, two sons, Eric P. Richards, and his wife Kerry, and Wesley A. Richards, all of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Robert A. Richards, of TX, Steven P. Richards, of North Providence, Gary Caya, of Woonsocket, Ricky Caya, of GA, Janice A. Tempest, of Warwick, and Lori J. Kitson, of Chepachet. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Cody L. Richards, of Woonsocket, and Taylor Rae Temepest, of FL, and several aunts and uncles, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her funeral service will Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. James Episcopal Church, Hamlet Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 pm in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket.
