Rose A. Bridges, 93, of Derry, NH, died Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mrs. Bridges was born in Lowell, MA on June 30, 1914, a daughter of the late Gaspard and Emma (Houle) Michaud. She was a resident of Derry since 2001, formerly living in Londonderry, NH since 1961. Mrs. Bridges enjoyed singing, and when she was younger, sang on the radio with her brothers and sisters. While raising her children, she baked beans on Friday and sold them on Saturday to supply her children with an allowance. She worked for over 25 years as a fabric worker for Joan Fabrics in Lowell. Mrs. Bridges enjoyed traveling and going on vacations, but her hobby was taking care of her kids. She was a member of St. Mark Church in Londonderry since 1961 and a current member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry since 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Martineau and his wife Terezinha, and Bill Martineau and his wife Marian both of Lowell; three daughters, Rosalie Lampe of Dunedin, FL, Marie Martineau of Derry, and Susanne Letourneau and her husband Emile of Lowell; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond T. Bridges who died in 1986, her son Robert Martineau, her daughter Jeanne Trulson, her grandson James Trulson and her granddaughter Mary Trulson.
Friends called on Monday, August 13th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, East, Landover, MD 20785.
