Jeanne Marie (Curtin) Champy, a lifelong resident of Andover, beloved wife of 58 years Fred Champy, died at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on July 8, 2007. She was 77 years old.
She was born April 18, 1930 in Andover, a beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Beaumler) Curtin. Mrs. Champy loved the White Mountains of New Hampshire and enjoyed many activities involving her beloved family. She was a long time member of AARP and an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed spending time making stuffed animal and dolls.
She will be sorely missed by her beloved husband, Fred Champy of Andover, five sons and five daughters-in-law; David and his wife Diane Champy of Wakefield, New Hampshire, Brian and his wife Jacqueline Champy of North Woodstock, New Hampshire, Barry and his wife Carolyn Champy of North Andover, Fred and his wife Michelle Champy, II of Manchester, New Hampshire and John and his wife Susan Champy of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and 2 beloved dogs, Andy and Cleo. She was also the sister of the late Mary Bell and Francis Curtin.
A graveside service was held in St. Augustine Cemetery in Andover on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at 11:30 AM. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, from 9 to 11 AM.
