Mary M. Ryan, 96, of Wellesley and South Dartmouth, died August 6, 2007 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ann (Whelan) Ryan.
Ms. Ryan was born in Pocasset and was a longtime resident of both Wellesley and South Dartmouth. She was a graduate of the Newton Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for 50 years at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. Mary also was a volunteer at Newton Wellesley Hospital Gift Shop for 18 years and was the recipient of the George L. White Award from the Newton Wellesley Hospital.
She was the sister of Kathleen R. Roberts of Raynham and the late Thomas J., Harriet R. and Matthew F. Ryan. She was the aunt of Thomas J. Ryan III of Wellesley and Catherine A. Bryant of Cambridge. She was the great aunt of Lisa M. Ryan of Medfield, Thomas J. Ryan IV and his wife Andrea of Reading and great great aunt of Juliana K. Ryan of Reading.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty and Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rte. 16) Wellesley, Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul's Church, Wellesley, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
