Visitation will be held at Regina Cleri, 60 William Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston Thursday from 3-5pm with a Funeral Mass at 7pm. Graveside Committal at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton Friday at 10am. Memorial gifts may be made to Regina Cleri Residence.

Rev. Thomas W. Moriarty, 92 years died Monday at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Brockton, the son of the late J. Frank and Sarah A. (Thompson) Moriarty. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College. Upon graduation he entered St. John’s Seminary and was ordained in 1942 by Richard Cardinal Cushing at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Rev. Thomas Moriarty had been a Parochial Assistant at St. Joseph’s in Kingston in 1942, St. James in Arlington in 1944, Chaplain at the Academy of the Assumption in Wellesley Hills in 1946, Assistant at St. Bridget’s, Maynard in 1946, St. John the Baptist, Quincy in 1949, St. Luke’s, Belmont in 1963. He had been Pastor at St. Brendan, Bellingham in 1968 St. Paul, Hingham in 1972 and at St. John Vianney, Revere in 1975. In 1978 Rev. Moriarty was the Associate Pastor of the Infant Jesus in Brookline and in 1988 upon his retirement he entered Regina Cleri. He recently celebrated his 65th anniversary of his ordination. Rev. Moriarty will be remembered for his simple and compassionate life style and enjoying his daily walk.
He was the brother of Catherine E. Brown and the late Mary Kuliesis, Francis and Helen Moriarty. He is survived by seven nieces and nephews Cathy Paciorkowski of Norwood, Sally Brown of CA; Walter Kuliesis of Arlington, Thomas Kuliesis of Brockton, Mary Scalzo of MO; James Kuliesis of Bridgewater and John Kuliesis of IN.
