Murphy, James J. age 79 of Teaneck passed away peacefully on August 6, 2007. Before retiring in June of 1990, he was an Associate Director in the Marketing and Technology Department of New York Telephone. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Beloved husband of Joan (nee) Dolan. Loving father of James R. Murphy of Oak Creek, WI, Keenan Murphy of Brick, NJ, Richard Murphy of Scottsdale, AZ, and Joellen Murphy of Trenton, NJ. James was also the loving and devoted grandfather of six grandchildren, and the dear brother of Margaret Parchment of Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10AM at St. Anastasias RC Church, Teaneck followed by a private burial in Ridgefield, NJ.
