Mrs. Philip Mason Marvel, beloved husband of the late M. Elizabeth (Adriance) Marvel, died at Sunbridge of North Reading Nursing Center on Friday, August 3, 2007. He was 89 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on March 23, 1918, he was the beloved son of the late Louis P. and Mary (Phillips) Marvel. Mr. Marvel was a salesman for many years at General Equipment Corporation, a distributor of fire safety equipment.
He loved to listen to jazz music and was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, for many years. He was also active at the Winchester Senior Center and was the last surviving member of the “Horses Ass Club. He was also a loved of Limericks and enjoyed playing double cross stix.
He is survived by his loving children, Philip M. Marvel and his wife Annamarie Ahl of North Reading and Lucinda and her husband Alan White of Old Town, Maine.
A memorial service was celebrated in the Winchester Congregational Church of Winchester on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 11 AM. Interment was private.
