Obituary

W. Bridgewater- Karen B. (Ferbert) Roderick, 61, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Halifax, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at home.

Born June 19, 1946, in Brockton, she was the daughter of Edna (Conant) Ferbert of West Bridgewater and the late Henry Ferbert.

Ms. Roderick was raised and educated in Bridgewater, graduating from Bridgewater-Raynham High School in 1964.
She also attended Massasoit Community College.

Ms. Roderick was a certified nurse’s aide and had worked in the health care field for more than 10 years, including at Griswold Special Care in Bridgewater.

She had been a resident in Halifax for 3 years prior to her recent move to West Bridgewater.

Ms. Roderick was a member of Mass Rough Riders Jr. Division and enjoyed riding horses.
She also enjoyed shopping and working on her home.

She was the daughter of Edna (Conant) Ferbert of West Bridgewater and the late Henry Ferbert; mother of Mark Roderick of West Bridgewater, Alan Roderick of Brewster and James Roderick of Middleboro; sister of Gerri Irving of Bridgewater and Walter Wood of Hernando, FL. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service in Faith Chapel Assemblies of God, 340 Pleasant St., Bridgewater, Thursday 7 pm. Visiting hours in chapel prior to service 4-7. Burial is private.

Donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Research, 1 Harvard St., Boston, MA 02146.

Arrangements are by the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater.
