Alfred P. Souza, age 78 of 625 Indian Town Rd. Husband of Dolores (Moniz)Souza and Son of the late Manuel P. and Eva (Perry) Souza. Passed away at home August 6, 2007. He was born in Fall River, resided at 69 RI Ave., Somerset for many years and returned to Fall River 2 years ago. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church. Before retiring, he worked at Poirier’s reconditioning cars for over 30 years; previously he was an Ice Cream Maker at Speedwell Farms. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Besides his Wife of Fall River, he is survived by two Sons: Christopher Souza and his Wife Maria G. of Fall River and David Souza and his Wife Constance of PA. One Sister: Albertina Ferreira of Westport. Two Grandchildren: Todd Michael and Craig Matthew Souza. Several nieces & nephews. He was also Brother of the late Edward P. and Manuel P. Souza, Jr.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd., at 10 A.M.Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
