Anna E. “Betty” (Parent) Coffee, 88, died at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston on Friday, August 3. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Coffee. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School and Bridgewater State College. A resident of Stoughton for over 60 years, Mrs. Coffee then resided in Dennis for 20 years before moving to Kingston 2 years ago. She was a school teacher in both Stoughton and North Easton for 20 years before retiring 35 years ago.
Mrs. Coffee is survived by her daughter, Kathy C. Gilroy and her husband David G. of Hanover and her granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Gilroy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Emma Parent Weaver, Katherine, Walter, Alan, Edward, Frederick and Leonard Parent.
Memorial Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 10 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Burial will be private. Donations in Betty‘s name may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cir., Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
