Mary Rose (Lapierre) Berthiaume Lussier, 93, of 16 Sunberg Rd.,
died Sunday, Aug. 5 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. She
was the wife of Edward L. Lussier who died in 1994. Her first husband Leo J.
Berthiaume died in 1971. She leaves two sons Roger W. Berthiaume and his
wife Rita and Ernest L. Berthiaume and his wife Priscilla, a daughter Irene
M. Gadbois and her husband Robert all of Spencer, a sister Helen Sauvageau
of Spencer, a step son Richard Lussier and his wife Eunice of Charlton,
three step daughters Theresa Mahoney of Brookfield, Rita Pare of Oakham, and
Lucille Hauser and her husband Rudi of Bethel, Ct., many grand, great grand
children and step grand and step great grand children, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by brothers Aldege, Arthur, and Armand Lapierre and a
step daughter Doris Martone.
Mrs. Lussier was a stitcher at David Clark Co. in Worcester for 9 years
prior to working for Brookfield Shoe Co. from 1969 to her retirement in
1976.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Edgar and Rose (Bazinet) Lapierre.
She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish and the former St.
Anne's Sodality. She enjoyed quilting, having made many as gifts to members
of her family. Over the past 2 years as a resident of Notre Dame, she was an
active participant in the resident "Chime Bell Choir".
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug, 8 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen
of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 4 to
7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Mary,Queen of
the Rosary Memorial Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, 01562 or Notre Dame Long
