Patricia Veronica Murray (O’Sullivan), 78, was received into the arms of her Lord and savior at 5:02 am on Monday, August 6th with her husband of 51 years, Frederick, by her side. Pat was known for her devotion to family and the children in her community. A resident of Winchester for thirty-five years, Pat served as a Girl Scout Leader, Cub and Boy Scout Den Mother and President of the Winchester Friends of Music. She truly enjoyed volunteering, including sewing costumes and marching band flags. In addition, Pat supervised the kitchen at the Mount Vernon House in Winchester for sixteen years. Pat battled for seventeen months before succumbing to a rare form of cancer at her home in Newburyport where she retired with Fred 7 years ago. Beloved wife of Frederick J. Murray. Devoted mother of Richard and wife Karen of Colchester, VT, Frederick and wife Sue of Wilmington, Thomas and wife Kristina of East Greenwich, RI, Therese Davison and husband Randy of Conway, NH, Patrick and wife Debbie of Winchester, and Michael and wife Stephannie of Northport, NY. Loving sister of Aileen Murphy and the late Edward Murphy of Framingham, Peggy Mitton and husband Bob of Everett, Cecilia Hamilton and husband George of Lenox, Michael O’Sullivan and wife Edna of Madbury, NH and the late Bryan O’Sullivan. Loving sister-in-law of Bea O’Sullivan of Wakefield. Devoted grandmother of thirteen grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Funeral from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Fri., Aug. 10 @ 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 10 AM.
