Arthur P. Skelley, age 73, died suddenly, Monday in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. Mr. Skelley was born in Cambridge, the son of the late Arthur and the late Mary (Sheridan) Skelley. He was a Reading resident for twenty-two years formerly of Medford. Mr. Skelley worked for twenty-nine years with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Co, and then for fifteen years with Metropolitan Life Insurance, he retired in 1991. Art was a dedicated family man and an avid golfer and sports fan. Late U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Art’s memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101 First St., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02154. Mr. Skelley is survived by his beloved wife Nancy (Scionti) and their four children, Deborah S. Russo of West Hartford, CT, Caron S. D’Ambruso and her husband Mark of Glenmore, PA, Richard F. Skelley and his wife Debbie of Cumming, GA, and Robert A. Skelley and his wife Kristin of North Andover. He is also survived by seven loving grandchildren, Beth, Ryan, Christina, Alexander, Jackson, Nicholas, Jamison and one loving great granddaughter, Caitlin. Brother of Robert Skelley of CA, the late Francis Skelley and Judy DiRocco. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford, Friday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Thursday from 4 thru 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove cemetery, Medford.
