Joseph B. Begley, 81years old, a resident of Andover, a former resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover, MA. on Friday, August 3rd, 2007.
Mr. Begley was born in Lawrence and educated in St. Rita's Grammar School and was a 1944 graduate of Lawrence High School. Mr. Begley served in WWII having served in the United States Army Air Corps attaining the rank of Corporal and later he received his Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Merrimack College in North Andover. He worked as an Engineer for Western Electric having retired in 1981. He belonged to the Lawrence Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. # 65, and the American Legion in Lawrence, MA. According to his family he loved to travel and play golf.
He leaves one brother: John R. Begley of Andover,MA. and his nieces and nephews: Kevin Begley of Katy, Texas, Janice Begley of Odessa, Texas and Kathryn Begley of Hollis, N.H. also one grand niece and 4 grand nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a grave side service on Wednesday, August 8th, 2007, at 10:30AM in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence.
