Obituary

Bayard Guild, Bayard a resident of Dover and Chatham died peacefully in his home on August 5, 2007, he was 74 years old. Before retiring in 1995, Bayard spent 35 years as a senior executive of the northeast division of Leasing Associates, Inc., a corporate fleet financing firm based in Houston, TX. In his spare time he enjoyed working on antique automobiles, a lifelong hobby. He was particularly knowledgeable about automobiles from the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s and participated with his wife, Kay, in numerous antique car club activities. Bayard was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed walking his dogs, biking and boating on Cape Cod with his family. As a younger man he spent time playing the piano ‘by ear’ and has always enjoyed listening to operatic music. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kay (Dunlap), four children; Susan and her husband Gibbs, of Concord; Jeffrey of Dover; David and his wife Gretchen of Sudbury and Terry and her husband David of Carlisle, and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Henry R. Guild Jr., of Dover, and a sister, Sheila (Guild) Iselin of Plymouth.
