Edward F. Gordon, 80 of Medford, passed away on August 3rd, 2007. He was born in Malden on October 19th, 1926. Edward has resided in Medford for most of his life and also enjoyed spending the summer months in Gloucester. He is retired from the John C. Clark Stevedoring Company where he worked in the accounting department. Mr. Gordon Graduated from Boston College in 1952 and more recently became a member of the Golden Eagle Club. He is a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Medford where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, Usher and was also a member of the Holy Name Society and the 3rd Order of St. Francis. During World War II Edward served in the United States Army. He is the beloved husband of Helen L. (Jackson) Gordon; the father of Edward F. Gordon Jr. and his wife Becky of Harvard, Christopher J. Gordon and his wife Linda of Wakefield, Michael Gordon of Reading, Carole Nearis and her husband Merrill of Beverly and Leslie Connolly and her husband John of Melrose; the grandfather of Kylie, James, Angela, Krista, Maria, William, Abigail, Julia, Preston, Matthew, Justin and Jennifer. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles and Thomas Gordon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford on Tuesday August 7th at 10 AM followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday August 6th from 4-8 PM.
