Lionel (Lee) J. Labrecque, 69, of Seabrook Beach, NH and Naples, Florida died Thursday August 2nd, 2007 at his home after a 15 year battle with cancer.
Lionel was born on September 8, 1937 in Lawrence.
Educated in the Lawrence Schools, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Labrecque attended Boston College and was employed by Loral Aerospace at Lincoln Laboratory for 31 years.
He was active in the Cursillo Movement in Methuen, a board member of the Civic Association of Seabrook Beach and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Elizabeths Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Janet (Connors) two sons Brian M. and his partner Gus Romero, and Kevin L. of New York City.
He is also survived by brothers Ronald & (Elizabeth) Labrecque, of Newburyport, MA, and Paul & (Joyce) Labrecque of California.
Survivors include 7 sisters, Loretta Cloutier of Windham, NH, Madeline Casey of E. Hartford, Conn., Claire & (John) Blackwell of Seabrook, NH, Pauline & (Thomas) Regan of Newbury, NH, Frances Hastings of Salem, NH, Marcelle & (Roy) Marceau also of Salem, NH, and Jacqueline & (Henry) Fredette of Florida.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock in St. Elizabeths Church with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen.
Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen, Ma.
