Lawrence, MA – Rachael J. (Holt) Culbert, 96, died Friday August 3, 2007 at the Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Culbert was born and educated in Lawrence. For many years she was employed with Champion International Paper Mill and also before that G.E. in Lynn, MA. She was also a union Stewart in the paper mills before their closing.
Prior to its closing she was a former attendant of St. Laurence O’Toole Church in Lawrence, and according to her family loved Irish Music, and dance, reading, bowling, enjoyed the beach with her family and was a very patriotic and compassionate woman.
She was the widow of Vincent E. (Happy) Culbert.
Survivors include 1 brother, William C. & (Patricia M.) Holt of Methuen, nieces Deirdre, Andrea, Regis, & Hannah Holt, nephews William Holt, Jr. John, Joseph,
& Liam Holt, cousins Thomas Christopher, Joanne Bowler, and Helen Benoit and was a friend to many.
Rachael was the sister of the late Mary Barker, Ruth Jackson, John Holt, Joseph Holt, and cousin of the late Mary Bowler.
A funeral service will take place on Monday morning at 10 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street of Methuen with burial to follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
