Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King/St. Colman Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-7pm.

Gail P. Barry, 62 years, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at Windsor Rehabilitation Center, South Yarmouth. Born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late Thomas E. and Patricia M. (Hannigan) Barry, she was a graduate of the first graduating class of Cardinal Spellman High School, class of 1962. Gail also graduated from the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing in 1965 and received her bachelors and masters degrees from Salve Regina College in Newport, RI. Following her graduation from the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing she began her career at Brockton Hospital as an Emergency Room Nurse. She remained at the hospital until 1996, many of those years working as a Nursing Supervisor. In 1996 Gail moved to Cape Cod and had been employed at Eagle Pond Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in Dennis until 2002. She was a member of the alumni association of Brockton Hospital School of Nursing; enjoyed traveling, the beach, swimming and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Gail is survived by one brother David E. Barry and his wife Judith of Franklin, MA, one nephew Mark Barry of S. Dennis, two nieces Kristen Stoddard of Ashland, MA, and Denise Thompson of Glenside, PA; two great nephews and one great niece one aunt Margaret Whalen of W. Bridgewater and several cousins. She was the sister of the late Joan M. Barry.
