Russell Aubry Steele age 79 of Water Valley, MS died on August 2, 2007 in the Baptist Memorial Hospital N-MS. Mr. Steele was a retired welder for Fruehuauf Trailer Company in Memphis, TN. The son of the late King Solomon Steele and Mary Lucinda Golden Steele, he was a member of Providence Baptist Church and also of Drivers Flat Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 4, 2007 with Rev. Kevin Crofford and Dr. Lee Crofford officiating. Interment will be held in Providence Cemetery in Calhoun County.
Surviving Mr. Steele are; his wife, Ina Mae Stewart Steele of Water Valley, MS; daughter, Patricia S. Pratt of Water Valley, MS; son, Boyd Russell Steele of Byhalia, MS; five grandchildren, Jo Anna Waller, Boyd R. (Rusty) Steele, Jr., Dwayne Pratt, Brandon Pratt and Chad Pratt; 7 Great Grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Lee Jenkins, Josh Pratt, Kayla Pratt, Drew Pratt, Olivia Pratt and Aidan Waller; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Mitchell Johnson and Braden Johnston.
Preceding Mr. Steele in death in addition to his parents were a sister, Marie Crofford and brother, Joe Steele.
