MYSTIC-Neil Lester Duerr, age 74, of 14 Godfrey Street Mystic, died on Monday at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Duerr was born in Mystic on April 15, 1928, the son of Edward T. Duerr and Bessie (Gremley) Duerr. Raised in Mystic, he attended local schools and joined the US Army in 1948, serving during the Korean Conflict, and discharged in 1957.
He was a painter at several local marinas until his retirement. Mr. Duerr was a member of the VFW in Mystic.
He is survived by two brothers, Leland and Walter Duerr and two sisters Iva Lawton and Betsey Allen. He was predeceased by three brothers Robert, Cecil and Clifford, and two sisters Dorothy Whitfield and Doris Turgeon.

A Graveside Committal Service will be conducted at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic on Monday, DECEMBER 30th at 10am. There are no visiting hours.
