Beloved mother of Marjorie Mullaney and her husband Arthur of Malden, William Macaulay and his wife Elizabeth of Saugus. Sister of the late Mary Gruenwald. Loving grandmother of Eleanor (Mullaney) Fish and her husband Joseph of Malden, Mark Mullaney of Malden, Timothy Macaulay and his wife Paula of Feeding Hills, MA and John Macaulay and his wife Karein of Kansas. Devoted great grandmother of Jennifer (Fish) Foley and her husband Adam of Malden, Alison and Stephanie Fish of Malden, Cynthia and Christopher Macaulay of Feeding Hills, MA and William, Matthew and Michael Macaulay of Kansas. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Sunday afternoon from 2-6 PM. Committal Services and interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cape Elizabeth, Maine on Saturday morning, August 11th at 11 AM. Born in Salem and a longtime Malden resident, Eleanor passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning at the Glenridge Nursing Care Center in Medford.
A gifted seamstress, she worked for over 15 years designing custom drapery for Craft Interiors of Irving Street in Malden. Later in her working career, she worked for Lewis Candy and also in the cafeteria at Cape Elizabeth High School.
