Ludovina F. "Ludy" (Estrella) Morris, 98, of Dartmouth died July 31, 2007 peacefully at home.
She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Morris.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Sisaltina (Souza) Estrella, she lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth all of her life.
Ludy was formerly employed by Lincoln Department Store for 28 years and by Cherry & Webb in downtown New Bedford for 7 years.
She was a loving and kind person who will be remembered by all she touched and was a second mother to many.
Survivors include a son, Alfred T. Morris, and his wife Janice E., of New Bedford; a daughter, Isabel V. J. Borges of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren, Donna Cordeiro, Richard J. Morris, Richard C. Borges, Jr. and Lori-Beth Saluti; 4 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Sophia, Hailey-Beth and Devin; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Aristedes M. Estrella, Thomas S. Estrella, Lydia M. Cornell and Everett Estrella.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 4th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
