TEWKSBURY - Edith M. (Brown) Lewis, age 87, a former resident of Everett and Lowell, died
Tuesday afternoon, July 31, at the Blairehouse of Tewksbury, following a long period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late Robert E. Lewis, who died in 1990.
She was born in Everett, June 2, 1920, the daughter of the late Howard and Marguerite (Shaw)
Brown. She was raised in Everett, and had lived in Everett and Lowell her entire life.
She was employed as an electronic assembler at Raytheon, in South Lowell, Bedford and
Sudbury, and retired from CompuGraphic’s, 80 Industrial Way facility in Wilmington.
She was a member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and David Hanlon of Tewksbury, a son and
daughter-in-law, Peter and Jeanne (Hand) Lewis of Lowell; three grandchildren, Matthew Hanlon,
Melissa Lewis and Sean Lewis; six great grandchildren, Alicia and Jonathan Legasse, twins
Heather and Stacy Darisse, Dyllon Darisse, and Connor Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30
Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
