Dianne M. (Gagnon) Burke, a resident of Dedham for 54 years, died July 29, 2007 at her home after a battle with breast cancer. She was 60. She was the beloved wife of John F. Burke, Jr. for 30 years.
Mrs. Burke was born in Norwood and was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Gertrude (Reynolds) Gagnon. She taught English at the Dedham Middle School for 30 years and was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing College, Bridgewater State College and Northeastern University.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Maura D. Burke of Medfield and a son, John F. “Jack” Burke III of Dedham and two brothers, Robert Gagnon of Conway, NH and John Gagnon of Spokane, WA.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Friday at 8:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
