Obituary

Taunton- Howard H. Stockbridge, 73, of Taunton, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Mary (Lupo) Stockbridge.

Born Sept. 11, 1933, in Augusta, ME, he was the son of the late Charlie E. and Edna L. (Brown) Stockbridge.

He graduated from Brighton High School, Class of 1950.

Mr. Stockbridge served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a self-employed machinist for many years.

Mr. Stockbridge had been a Taunton resident for the past 7 years, coming from Charlestown, where he lived for 35 years.
He enjoyed woodworking.

He was the husband of the late Mary (Lupo); father of Howard S. Stockbridge and his wife Karla of Taunton; brother of Charles Stockbridge of Braintree; grandfather of Drew Stockbridge, Tyler Rountry, Heather Stockbridge and Janelle Stockbridge. Also survived by his former wife Sharon Robbins of Brockton and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Saturday at 11 am. Visiting hours omitted.
