Anthony J. “Tony” Falotico, 87, of Tifton died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2007, in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton’s First Baptist Church. Dr. W. Ches Smith, III and Dr. Wayne Roe will officiate with burial to follow at Oak View Cemetery in Camilla. Paul Wright, John Curtis Falotico, Jason Dishler, John Gray, Gerald Bernier and Joe Ball will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Tony was born on November 9, 1919 in Kings County, New York and was the son of Roceo Falotico and Maria Jane DeDoe Falotico, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Lynn Falotico Dishler; six brothers; and two sisters. He was the retired owner of Central Jewelers and a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, doing service in the South Pacific. He was a life member of American Legion Post #21; life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5250; and life member of B.P.O.E. #1114, having held the offices of P.E.R., Past Trustee, Past State President and Past D.D.G.E.R. Mr. Tony had lived in Tifton for 54 years, moving here in 1953.
Mr. Tony is survived by his wife, Helen R. Falotico of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Becky Falotico of Tifton; one daughter, Helen F. “Winkie” Wright of Tifton; one sister, Mrs. Milli Micera of Gillette, New Jersey; one son-in-law, Larry Dishler of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Helen Louise Ball and her husband, Joe, Paul A. Wright IV, John Curtis Falotico and his wife, Hope, Maria Falotico, Anne Falotico, Jennifer Dishler and Jason Dishler;; and five great grandchildren, Jordan Ball, Carson Ball, Balen Falotico, Chandler Falotico and Zachary Butler.
