Obituary

Lee F. Dadalt, noted artist, teacher and avid golfer, passed away on July 28, 2007 after a short illness. Lee had three great passions in his life: his art work, winning many awards including those from the Mystic Art Association and Slater Museum in Norwich; the love of the game of golf, whether it was on a local course, in Florida or courses in Ireland; and Lee was the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School Art teacher for thirty-one years, retiring in 2003. During his tenure, his art classes won numerous statewide awards. He recognized the art potential in each and every one of his students.
Lee was born June 15, 1948 in Westerly, RI the son of the late Leto and Frances Dadalt. He was a graduate of Fitch Senior High School, Mitchell College and the University of Hartford Art School. He received his Masters of Fine Arts from Wesleyan University.
Lee is survived by his sister, Denise and brother-in-law Stephen McGuire of Wolfeboro, NH, his niece, Melanie McGuire of Barrington, NH and three nephews; Justin, Nicholas and John McGuire all of Driggs, ID.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10am at St. Patrick Church, East Main Street, Mystic. Interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lee’s memory may be made to Hospice of Southeastern CT, P.O. Box 902, Uncasville CT 06382.
