Obituary

BRIDGEWATER — Francis A. Sully, 79, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Rockland, died Thursday at home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jeanette (Tognarelli) Sully.

Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (MacLeroy) Snow.

Raised in Dorchester, Mr. Sully was a graduate of English High School.

He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Sully was a pressman at Stop and Shop for 31 years, retiring in 1992.

He previously worked at Singer Sewing Machine Co. for 12 years.

Mr. Sully was a coach for Rockland little league baseball and town league basketball.

He was an avid bowler and a wrestling fan.

Mr. Sully had been a resident of East Bridgewater for the past seven years, coming from Rockland, where he lived for 32 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Sully of East Bridgewater; his daughter, Elaine Correia of Rockland; and two grandchildren. He was brother to the late Mary Sully.

His funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. John Church. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.

Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Burial in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
