SHREWSBURY, MA-Mary A. (Conlin) Dalton, 101, of 155 Green Street died Sat., Dec. 7 in her home.
Her husband, Walter F. Dalton, Sr. died in 1958.
She leaves two sons, Walter F. Dalton, Jr. of Shrewsbury amd Paul Dalton of Orford, NH; a daughter, Ann D. Murray of Shrewsbury; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces Her brothers, Charles, James and Francis P. Conlin and her sister, Catherine Conlin all predeceased her.
She was born in Rochdale, the daughter of the late James P. and Alice E. (McGrath) Conlin and has lived here for 45 years. HSe graduated from Leicester High School and the Leicester Junior College.
Mrs. Dalton worked for many years as an office clerk at the Grafton State Hospital before her retirement.
She was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury. She also summered in Enfield, NH for more than 60 years, including this past summer.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday from the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., (www.brittonfuneralhomes.com) Shrewsbury with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford.Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 5-7 PM.
