Fall River - Walter V. Cybert, 79, of Westport passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Highlander Nursing Center. He was the husband of Lena R. (Raposa) Cybert.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Vincent and Katherine (Lizak) Cybert, he had lived in Westport since 1968. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School Class of 1946, he was a printer for Rex Cut of Fall River until his retirement in 1991. Prior to working at Rex Cut, he was worked at the former Pilgrim Curtain of Fall River. Mr. Cybert was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, a member of the Our Lady of Grace Seniors and he traveled with the INN Group. He enjoyed going to casinos and bus travel.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Steven W. Cybert of Granby, CT; a daughter: Linda S. Raposo of Westport; a sister: Amelia Domain of Fall River; 4 grandchildren: Candace Cybert, Douglas Cybert, Kevin Raposo and Kyle Raposo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late: Antone Cybert, Henry Cybert, Stanley Cybert, Mary Bednarz, Stacia Woytaszek and Helen Kulpa.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, July 30, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 4 - 7 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
