Dorothy L. (Moore) Galante, of Medford, died Wednesday at Boston University Medical Center. She was 80.
Dorothy was born and raised in Everett, the daughter of the late John and the late Annie (Ryan) Moore. She has been a Medford resident since her marriage to Louis. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Dorothy went to work after her children had all left home, at the Malden branch of Bank of America, as an administrative assistant.
She was the beloved wife of Louis T. Galante. She was a devoted mother to Robert L. Galante and his wife Maria C. Hanley of Reading, Jane A. Benedict and her husband Richard of Westford, Richard M. Galante and his wife Maria E. of Tewksbury, Michael R. Galante and his wife Yelena of Oregon. She was a loving grandmother to Brenda, Robert, Christopher, Alison, David, John, Elizabeth and great-grandmother to Quinn, Giovanni, Ella, Peter, and Cloe. She was a dear sister to the late Robert, George, Eben, Alec and John Moore.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, Monday, July 30th at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
Forever loved by a great man was she.
Touched by her caring kindness was all.
