Obituary

Tammy Beth Asbell Pisciotta, 41, of Omega entered into the open arms of Jesus Christ on Friday, July 27, 2007, at her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Omega Baptist Church. Pastor Steve Moon will officiate and Pastor Carl Felts will give a eulogy. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery. Charles Taylor, Joe Owen, Shane Giddens, Phil Beach, Mike Beeman and Jimmy Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all UPS drivers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 28, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Pisciotta was born on September 10, 1965 in Moultrie and was the daughter of Betty R. "Duckie" Sledge of Moultrie and Bobby Asbell of Norman Park. She was preceded in death by her MeMa, Mrs. Idelle Rhodes; and one aunt, Miss Mary Rhodes. She worked with the Tift County Board of Education at Tift County High School and was a member of Omega Baptist Church.

Tammy graduated from Colquitt County High School and received her cosmetology license from Moultrie Technical College. She touched many lives during her illness, drawing strength through testifying to others and sharing her enormous faith in Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pisciotta is survived by her loving husband, Joey Lynn Pisciotta of Omega; one daughter, Brittany Ann Henry of Tifton; two sons, Timothy Lee Henry of Valdosta, John Stephen Powell, II of Thomasville; one step-daughter, Jessica Lynn Pisciotta and one step-son, Andrew Alan Pisciotta of Tifton; one brother, Wendy Clayton Asbell of Moultrie; one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Ricky Blackburn of Albany.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to HOSPICE of Tiftarea.
