Daniel J. Dwyer, 69, of Chester, NH died unexpectedly at his home on July 24, 2007. He was born in Nashua, NH on August 28, 1937 to Dan and Flora (Brassard) Dwyer. He had lived in Chester for the past 30 years with his wife, Doris and together they owned and operated Hayloft Barn Antiques. He had also owned his own trucking company and drove for Mutrie Transportation, For-Tek, F & S Concrete and J & F Farms. Dan also worked part-time for Atlas Fireworks and was a licensed pyrotechnician. He was an U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Lafayette Masonic Lodge of Manchester. Dan enjoyed repairing antique furniture, old tractors, gardening, cutting firewood, working at auctions and square dancing. He also was an avid NASCAR fan.
IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his wife Doris; two sons, Dan of Auburn, NH and Steven of Barnstead, NH; their mother, Naomi of Manchester; step-sons, Gary Clement and Dana Clement of Manchester, NH and Kenneth Clement of Auburn; two brothers, Lane Dwyer of Merrimack, NH and Gary Dwyer of Mont Vernon, NH; three sisters, Karen Reynolds of Morrill, ME, Sheila Taylor of Long Beach, MS and Gail Lalmont of Deering, NH; and also by nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Shannon of Wilton, NH.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, July 28th in the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chester Fire Department, 27 Murphy Dr., Chester, NH 03036.
