DRACUT - Doris L. (Mercier) Beauchesne, 80, a resident of Dracut, died Tuesday July 24th at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Roger W. Beauchesne with whom she was married to for 59 years.
She was born in Lowell on October 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Ernest and Loretta (Champagne) Mercier. She graduated in 1945 from St. Louis School in Lowell, MA. She was a member of the Girl Scouts and was the Lowell Spelling Bee champion.
She was employed for fifteen years by Family Services and Visiting Nurses of Lowell.
She enjoyed parades, clowns, listening to gospel music, crossword puzzles, her computer, and spending time with her family. She also loved to travel and always had time to lend an ear to a friend in need.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Marlene Beauchesne of Falmouth, ME, Richard and Shirley Beauchesne of Tyngsboro, and Michael and Denise Beauchesne of Hudson, NH; seven grandchildren Laurie D. Cataldi, Paul M. Beauchesne, Jenni Lee and Sherri Lynn Beauchesne, Richard W. Beauchesne Jr., David Beauchesne, Dawn Mailloux; seven great grandchildren Isabella Rose, Dominic Anthony, Madylin, Cody, Matthew, Brandon, and Sidney; a brother Norman Mercier and three sisters-in-law Aline Larose, Doris Carbonneau, Ann Mercier; a brother-in-law Edward Koziol; and by her godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She will be loved and missed by all. You are loved always.
BEAUCHESNE - Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 4 until 8p.m. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 9a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
