Mrs. Frances H. (Foye) LaBranche, age 76, died Saturday afternoon, July 21, at the
Wingate of Lowell, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health.
She was born in Lowell, August 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Sullivan)
Foye, and remained a lifelong Lowell resident.
She was described by her family as a creative, warm, strong and caring person, who had devoted
her life to her family.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beth J. and George Brennan of Dayton, OH; four
sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph George LaBranche Jr. and his wife Sandra of So. Thomaston,
ME, Kel E. LaBranche and his wife Mireya of Vero Beach, FL, Gregory J. LaBranche and his
wife Larissa, and F. Matthew LaBranche and his wife Pamela all of Lowell; 12 grandchildren; 1
great grandchild; three brothers, Joseph Foye of Cornelius, OR, John Foye of Beverly Hills, FL,
James Foye of Hernando, FL; a sister, Catherine Kerins of Hernando, FL; many nieces and
nephews including Susan Conroy; her friend Russell Hoare; and her former husband J. George
LaBranche of Lowell.
She was also mother of the late Timothy L. LaBranche, Lisa LaBranche, and Paul LaBranche.
At her request, private services were held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in No. Tewksbury. Memorials to Greater Lowell VNA Hospice, P.O. Box 1965, Lowell, MA 01853, would
be appreciated.
