A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 11am-1pm with a prayer service at 1pm, officated by Rev. Patricia Hayes of Christ Congregational Chruch.

Steve “Chopper” Hathaway, 39 years, of Brockton, died unexpectedly Friday evening, July 20, 2007, at the Brockton Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born in Middleboro, son of Geraldine F. (Wilkins) Valliere and the late Lucien Valliere, he was raised and educated in Brockton. At the time of his death, Steve was employed as a roofer for Dostoomian Roofing Systems in Stoughton. He was an adventurous person who loved motorcycles and both fresh and saltwater fishing.
He is survived by his soul mate of 21 years, Maryanne Carlson, one daughter Amanda Carlson and one son Stevie Carlson, all of Brockton, his mother Geraldine F. (Wilkins) Valliere of Hyde Park, two brothers Mark Burke of Brunswick, Maine and Arthur Hathaway of Hyde Park and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Lucien Valliere.
