OBITUARY FOR BERNICE G. (STOCKFORD) HAPGOOD
Bernice G. (Stockford) Hapgood, 90, a resident of North Andover, MA., and formerly of Sudbury, MA., passed away on Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Prescott house Nursing Home in North Andover.
Born in Lawrence, MA., Mrs. Hapgood was a 1930 graduate of St. Lawrence's Grammar School and a 1934 graduate of Lawrence High School. She went on to graduate from the Carney Hospital School of Nursing with her Nursing Degree. Mrs. Hapgood had worked as a Nurse in her husbands office, the late David Hapgood, M.D. She had also worked privately.
Mrs. Hapgood was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in North Andover.
The widow of David W. Hapgood, M.D., and sister of the late Mary A. Stockford, Mrs. Hapgood is survived by many cousins including Karen Hannigan of Dover, NH. She is also survived by her good friend Mary Finn of North Andover, MA.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michael's Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
