Peggy Jean Hutto Chaney, 64, of Wray, died Thursday, July 19 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, July 22, at Lax Community Church, with Rev. Donnie Pridgen and Rev. Marston Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Lax Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Ms. Chaney was born April 7, 1943, in Ocilla, Georgia, to Annie Barrentine Hutto and the late Richard Hutto. She lived in the Wray community most of her life. Ms. Chaney was a former employee of Fitzgerald Underwear. She was a member of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters: John Chaney, Stephanie Johanson, Terina Chaney, Cory Chaney and Kaitlynn Chaney, all of Wray; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother: Annie B. Hutto of Wray; sister & brother-in-law: Stacey & Paul Guthrie of Wray. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George E. Chaney and a son, George R. Chaney.
